Well, here I am at graduation day.. Finally. I was in the ceremony that was the shortest (thank goodness because it still seemed too long.) And my future Mother-in-law was able to give me my fake diploma, which was really neat.
We survived our first pre-marital counseling session last night too. It was surprisingly not bad. We have a Reverend that is very laid back so the meeting consisted of us talking about his dog, his travels around the world and ours, and a little bit about the ceremony. No personality or compatibility testing! Mike was very excited.

Congrats on graduating!

When I think back to the hoops Lynn and I had to jump through, I don't think it was the minister that did any of the compatibility stuff (I might be wrong, though). But remember that we had a REALLY strange minister...

I think we did some compatibility testing stuff at the state-mandated class that Pine Rest runs. For couples that deal with each other in a straightforward "take it or leave it, them's the facts" way, the class was the most frustrating part of the whole experience.

There are only two good things that happen during that class:

1) You find out that you're among the "pretty people" on the face of the earth.
2) You get to see cool closeups of STDs! After lunch!
