I know that I have already asked this... but please, help! I need to know the answer! Does anyone know the name of this flower?? They were all over around Niagara Falls and they are so pretty.
It's not a sunflower or a daisy I'm sure. You should go to Meijer Gardens or some botanical garden, I'm sure they could tell you right away. I think I saw one of those flowers at the pavilion entrance at Meijer Gardens this evening actually as we were waiting to get in for the Lyle Lovett concert.
Trish this is definitely an iris. I double checked with my garden expert, my hubby, and he agreed with me. If you type iris in Google you will see it is a match. See you Tuesday!
Trish - your mystery flower is Canna (Cannas) they come in many varities, heights & color wise. They like full sun and because of the climate here...you have to lift (or dig out) the plants in the fall. They have big knotty tuberous roots...cool huh!

Well trish, I'm not an expert but as far as i can tell it's a sunflower.
I'm not much of a botanist either, but it sure looks like a daisy to me.
Maybe this will help. :)

Trish, look under Canna bulbs and I think you will find this flower. Good luck. Love Aunt Sue
