The Most Expensive Candy of our Lives

So... Mike and I went back to the German Market today (I know... again... but its soo fun.) Today we went for a German style lunch. We had delicious Goulash and German Potatoe Soup. It was great. After our tasty lunch, we decided to hit up the candy booth. The grocers here don't have bulk candy and we have found out that foods we necessarily didn't eat at home, we now crave because they don't have it here. Bulk candy is one of those things. Now, the sign said "£1.50 for 100 g" and then they provided bags and scoops. We took a bag and put scoops of sour coke gummies, sour gummy worms, and a few other assorted candies. The first two scoops of gummies that were put in the bag were not even full either and the rest might have had 15 pieces (all very small pieces) added to our bag. So... we went to the register and almost fell over when the nice German boy told us the price. REALLY?? YOU WANT THAT MUCH FOR FREAKING SUGAR??? So... can you guess how much this little jar of candy cost us?? And to make it worse £1 = $1.88. We don't normally do the conversion now that I work, and I definitely don't want to think about how much we spent on this candy in US Dollars. All I have to say is, it better be magic candy. (And last us until we come home!)

Hmmm, I am guessing about 7 pounds?? Don't forget to let the worms hang out of your mouth with slobber dripping off the end like Chris always did... Take pictures too, your mom LOVES that!!

Funny, I was thinking the same thing about the gummy worms. And then I come to make a comment and my daughter has beat me to the punch. Just enjoy the candy and quit worrying about what they cost, it will take the joy our of finding your favorite candy. I love you sweetie. Aunt Sue
