The New Shower
This is our beautiful new shower. Most of you might not agree to its beauty, but Mike and I think its spectacular. The showers in Europe are weird. Its not actually supplied by the hot water heater, the shower box heats the water by electricity. Our last one not only had horrid pressure, but no hot water. We confronted our landlords when we first got here about the pressure, but we got some explanation about how the hot water heater is lower than the shower, which meant, poor pressure. They claimed all European showers were like this, but the hostels and other people's showers seemed to be fine. It didn't really make all that much sense, since it was supposed to be heated by electricity, but we didn't push it, at least we had a shower. Then came winter. We have a large window in the bathroom which lets all available heat in the bathroom, escape. It was then we noticed that the water did not get hot. Luke warm yes, but hot no. You turned away from the water for one second and you were instantly freezing. Then we started to complain. It led to us getting a new shower! This one even has great pressure AND the water gets really hot! Woo hoo!

I am very happy you got a HOT shower now! I need the hot water to last at least 20 minutes, if not more. I think one of the worst moments of my life was when I was in Guatemala and had to take a shower with freezing cold water...I never thought I could wash up that fast! I guess it just normally takes me a few minutes of standing under really hot water to wake up. I sure hope this one works out well for you both!
